@AwetTesfaiesus Second, I think a positive vision must take a stance on the "degrowth question". How to maintain the post-scarcity claim that Rutger makes without accelerating the growth of compute centers, power plants etc. that we presently are seeing? I mentioned the smaller, specialized models that can solve many tasks in the other thread; for other scenarios we (but then: who exactly?) probably need to define when to stop improving the simulations by throwing more compute on them; and I guess that for some products, we would need to decide that we do not want them to be built, even though there might be economical incentives to do so. To be honest, I am lacking some more concrete or far-reaching answers here at the moment and am always be happy to read other people's ideas (and also, it's 2am and I need to go to bed)!Thanks for the pointer to the video and for the question, Awet!!
