I’ve shared this the other day, but I encourage you to read this all the way through because it provides a very distinct understanding as to why blind people love LLMs. For a disabled person like me, of course I use LLMs because every disability access technology I use has incorporated the use of these LLMs. That being said, I do not think the sociological, political, environmental, and intersectional harms should be ignored just to advance accessibility. I understand I am lucky in the sense that I have a vast network of virtual and in person humans to help me with a wide array of digital and in person tasks, but I care more about community than I do about technology.
