Waze is adding several AI features powered by Google’s Gemini models, including a new "Motorcycle mode", conversational map reporting, and personalized route recommendations. The new Motorcycle mode adapts navigation for those vehicles by considering specific route options and hazards such as speed bumps, potholes, shoulder endings, and narrow bridges. It combines real time traffic data with updates from map editors focused on motorcycle navigation and is initially launching in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Malaysia, Mexico, Peru, and the Philippines. Waze will also suggest routes based on previous trips and driving patterns alongside its standard traffic calculations, meaning it will more actively analyze your personal travel habits, though users can disable these personalized recommendations.
