Meta has introduced a series of updates to WhatsApp, targeting improvements across devices and experiences. The refreshed integrations for CarPlay and Android Auto allow drivers to hear and reply to messages, make calls, review call history, and reach favorites directly from their car's display, all hands-free. Addressing longstanding feedback, WhatsApp users can now register for an account directly within the iPad app. This removes the previous requirement to link an iPad to a primary phone, supporting a true standalone workflow. Following these device changes, WhatsApp web and desktop users can now open PDF files right inside chats, annotate or highlight content in the viewer, and collaborate efficiently.
