MCPでAIエージェントにツールを追加するたび、見えないコストが積み上がっています。Oktaが「tool tax」と名付けた現象です。モデルは毎回の呼び出しで、接続された全ツールのスキーマ・説明・パラメータを読み込みます。ツールを増やすほど、コンテキストとトークンが静かに消費される。便利さの対価が、実はトークン料金として請求されているわけです。個人的には、これは「何でも繋げる」時代の当然の帰結だと感じます。スコープを絞り、必要なツールだけを渡すことが、これからのエージェント設計の基本になる。地味ですが、こうしたコストの可視化こそが健全な進歩だと捉えたい。#MCP #AIエージェント #LLM #トークンコスト #Okta
