Bending Spoons buys Airtable for $1.3B

A couple of weeks ago, Bending Spoons announced an agreement to acquire Airtable, the collaborative no-code spreadsheet and database platform, in an all cash deal valued at $1.285 billion. Including Airtable’s cash and cash equivalents, the transaction implies an equity value of around $2.25 billion. The deal values Airtable well below its 2021 peak of more than $11 billion, while secondary market trades earlier this year reportedly valued the company at around $4 billion. Despite the decline, Airtable’s annual recurring revenue grew more than 20% year over year to approximately $480 million as of June 2026. Airtable is used by more than 500,000 organizations, and has recently expanded its AI features with the launch of Superagent in January 2026. Both companies’ boards unanimously approved the acquisition, which remains subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close later this year.
