Bear 2.8 released with Bear CLI, Claude Connector, and MCP server for advanced workflows

Bear 2.8 delivers expanded access and integration options for users of this Markdown note-taking app for macOS and iOS. The highlight is Bear CLI, a command-line tool that enables reading, searching, creating, and editing notes directly from the terminal, scripts, or any shell-capable environment. This enhancement allows for flexible note management outside the graphical app. Following the CLI addition, Bear introduces the Claude Connector. This feature lets Claude users interact with their notes in natural language, allowing them to ask questions, make changes, or generate new notes within Claude. Since it is powered by the same Bear CLI architecture, all command-line capabilities transfer directly to Claude-based workflows.
