Project news:• Started with tecalor-thz5-5-eco-homeassistant-bridge• Practiced agentic coding with Codex in isg-codec (https://github.com/Sunvibe/isg-codec)• Used the bridge as a base and optimized it significantly• Improved protocol decoding• Ported to ESP32-S3 (SerialX / serial_proxy)• Then turned it into a native ESP32 component with ESPHome supportThanks to @balloob for the ESP hint — that pushed me toward a pure ESP32 setup and let me drop most of the original complexity (still on legacy for now, switch soon).What a wild ride with this agentic coding.Looks like that’s it for today.
