Google launches Android 17 with AI agents, doomscrolling controls and better creator tools

Google has launched Android 17, the latest version of its mobile operating system, with updates across digital wellbeing, content creation, cross-platform sharing, Android Auto, security, and device migration. One of the most notable additions is Gemini Intelligence, which brings agentic AI capabilities to Android phones so the assistant can interact with apps and complete more specific tasks through verbal commands.
