Zed brings Terminal Threads for running terminal workflows alongside agents & ACP threads

Zed's latest release introduces Terminal Threads, transforming the agent panel by allowing users to host terminals as threads. This means developers can now launch workflows like Claude Code, Amp, OpenAI Codex, or any terminal-based tool as managed threads directly in the sidebar, offering a unified interface for both agent and terminal tasks. Previously, Zed's Parallel Agents allowed only built-in or ACP-connected agents in parallel. With Terminal Threads, parallel agent sessions now include terminal-based workflows, solving earlier limitations for users running multiple agents in the same window. Each terminal thread is scoped to the current project and worktree. The sidebar title updates automatically to reflect the running process.
