Cursor has launched Origin, a new capability that allows users to host their code directly within the AI coding platform. Starting today, Origin is available in early beta for all paid plans and introduces a set of foundational features, including repositories, pull request functionality, code browsing, and synchronization with GitHub. While these core elements establish the service, the new codebase tab serves as the main entry point. From there, users can create repositories, follow CLI installation guidance, and run commands to clone or push local projects, enabling seamless code hosting on Origin. For those with existing projects, local codebases can be pushed to Origin once the CLI is set up.
