Wine 11.9 adds bundled SQLite library, Wayland pointer warping, and system threads support

Wine 11.9 is now available, offering enhanced compatibility for running Windows applications on Linux, macOS, and BSD platforms. This version is notable for introducing a bundled SQLite library, which broadens the scope of supported software that depends on this database component. Building on these core upgrades, Wine 11.9 adds initial support for system threads. This update addresses application runtime behavior and is complemented by support for thread suspension in emulated code on ARM64 architectures, expanding compatibility for users on that hardware. In addition, users benefit from improved VBScript compatibility, further aligning Wine’s scripting support with expectations from Windows-based programs.
